"Ayat was truly knowledgeable throughout the tour. She brought us for tea to start, followed by a few good picture locations, and gave a us a true feel of walking through the streets of Cairo. It was quite busy as it was a Friday but it really gave us a feel to be living in the city. Ayat was very accommodating to any of our needs or wants out of the tour. We finished the day with a felucca ride as part of our package and a sweet sugarcane drink to end it all."

We wanted to do the tour during the evening and booked for 19:00 - but the team thoughtfully pointed out that if we wanted time in the mosque we should leave a bit earlier. Our guide Ayat was incredible - she kept us entertained and engaged with stories and information about everything we saw, ensured that we visited everything we were interested in and was such wonderful company all evening. After the mosque, she took us to an old book binder and then on to the market for coffee, shopping and people watching. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt like we were with an old friend.
